Mars

Dusty shores of Mars
Frozen oceans, sightlessly reflect
the thousand-year-old image of the stars

A life lived on the board
With triviality your just reward

The dusty shores of Mars
Crimson beaches, unblemished and intact
No living thing could dare to leave a scar

A life as parched and dry
The path of least resistance gets you by

But I did everything you told me
How come I feel so empty?
See how the soil here is red with my blood?

Didn't anybody mention
That we would place in suspension
Any trace of your damn childhood

Swimming the dry canal
Choking slowly, I struggle in the sand
an isolated, regimented hell

With no one left to trust
Each movement drives me deeper in the dust

Well now I feel I must be dying
What are those frogs I'm seeing?
A game of cards played by four Chinese men

We put the frogs there to judge you
And the game is your fortune
Back in the tube! We can use you again
