Welcome to Sycamore Park's website. We are a Mill Valley, California-based quartet that plays an eclectic range of music primarily influenced by the Soul Jazz movement of the late 60's. Perhaps best described as grooving over expensive chords, we explore jazz from bop to blues with a booty shaking, dance-friendly, accessible approach.
Sycamore Park is composed of four musicians with decades of combined experience in rock, funk, jazz, and the jamband scene. Our instrumentation is stripped down to the traditional essentials: 4-piece drum kit, electric bass, Gibson hollow-body electric guitar, and Hammond organ with Wurlitzer electric piano. No digital toys are needed. This is about 4 cats playing.
